P5/6 LK

Dear parents/carers,

As our drop-off and pick-up times are to be strictly adhered to, there will unfortunately be little opportunity for conversations with the teachers in the mornings or afternoons. However, please feel free to make contact via the email address below with any queries or questions and, if a further conversation is required, a phone call can be arranged.

Thank you, in advance, for your understanding,

Ruth Millar

Primary 5

Please ensure you are using your Home Spelling Book to support the learning we are doing in school. The try pages should be completed one column per night and the spelling sentences and word sort on a night that suits best.

This week we are looking at times 5 tables.  Please use the check up book sent home on Monday 28th to help reinforce class learning.

FRIDAY CHECK UP - er spelling sound and x5 tables

Primary 6

Please ensure you are using your Home Spelling Book to support the learning we are doing in school. The try pages should be completed one column per night and the spelling sentences and word sort and jumbled words on a night that suits best.

This week we will be revising 10 times tables.

This week we will also be looking at TU multiplication.  The P6's are finding this difficult to begin with so perhaps they could watch this PowerPoint and practice at home?

Thank you

FRIDAY CHECK UP - oo spelling list and x10 tables.

P6 Self Portraits
P6 were asked to use pastels to create a self portrait. I think they did an amazing job!
P5 Stone Age Man
Primary 5 were asked to follow a step by step instructional drawing page to create a Stone Age man. These are their interpretations. Can you find yours?

Welcome to Primary 5/6!

Welcome to a brand new year. I am so happy to be able to welcome you back to school. We are going to have so much fun and we are going to help each other as we navigate all the new routines.

PRIMARY 5 - welcome to the fabulous upstairs room. It’s a bit different but we think it’s a bit better. We have our own comfy chairs and we don’t have to worry about being distracted by people walking past. You’ll soon get used to it and wonder why all classrooms aren’t the same.  We have some lovely topics to cover this year including Stone Age Man and Egyptians.

PRIMARY 6- welcome back. I am so happy to have you guys back to help me this year. It’s so good to have familiar faces to help get the new routines integrated with our older ones. You will have some great topic work this year beginning with Vikings.

So! Deep breath everyone. Let’s go. If you need to get in touch please use the email address above or phone the office and I’ll get back to you.

Keep checking back in to this page and I’ll update it when necessary.
